This housing estate was built by the Volkswagen Foundation in 1972 for the purpose of housing employees of the Max-Planck-Institute next door. At the time, the State of Berlin granted a ground lease free of ground rent for the plot over a 75-year period for the purpose. The Max Planck Society was given the right to nominate tenants, which was entered into the land register.
The housing estate near Dreipfuhlpark consists of four 2.5-storey blocks of flats with pent roofs and generously proportioned front gardens, and is easily accessible from Clayallee. The flats are bright and welcoming. Tenants have the use of separate basement storage rooms.more News
